Spring trends as worn by you

The days are getting longer and the weeks are getting warmer… finally! It’s time for a whole new season of trends! We took to the shops to speak to our customers. We wanted them to tell us one thing: what they wore today.

Feminine shades and patterns are huge this season. Naomi swapped her staple winter scarf for a floaty, floral number for a day of shopping. Blush hues have been huge this season, adding a classic feminine touch to any outfit – even your basic tee and skinny jeans. With florals making a bold comeback, we’re all about the blush. Our wardrobes are full to the brim of flowery goodness… and so are the stores at Broughton Shopping (obviously)!

From one print, to the next - the baggy look is back. A nod to the popular 70s style, we’re seeing statement shirts and trousers scattered across our favourite stores. Perfect for the warmer weather (we promise – it’s coming). Holly paired Aztec printed trousers with simple tan heeled sandals and a cropped denim jacket. The perfect boho festival look, and let’s face it – denim jackets are always a winner.

If you’d rather keep things simple, opt for embroidery on your key pieces. Danielle has kept things simple with belted black skinnies, a nude top and denim jacket. Work embroidery into one key piece like the back of the jacket and team with simple sandals and a bright bag. Or why not keep things casual with trainers and rock a floral embroidered jean instead.

Let’s hear it for the boys! We love the trends for men this season, with simple earthy colours and basic key pieces that have been pulled into SS17 with subtle updates. Chaps – you’ll be glad to hear the parka is still bang on trend, with camo and khaki being a favourite hue for outerwear. But we still suggest you invest in a new one for summer… did we mention there are loads to choose from at Broughton Shopping?!

So there we have it – your top trends for summer. Now all you have to do is pay us a visit to make it oh so easy to update your wardrobe and have you summer ready in no time.

More of an online browser? Lots of our stores offer Click & Collect – so shop the trends and collect them from us at your convenience. Happy shopping!
